God’s Garden Happenings

The children have been busy the last few weeks:putting together care packages, practicing songs and practicing a play. At the end of November, God’s Garden children put together care packages filled with socks, toiletries and snacks to be passed out to the unhoused.
On Dec 8, after learning new lyrics and practicing hard, the children sang “It’s a Small World” in Japanese and English with the Wesley Jazz Band. Dressed in festive holiday outfits, they light up the Fellowship Hall with their smiles. Thank you to Wayne Adachi for making this happen with the children.
Then, the following Sunday, the children performed a Christmas play that included Christmas songs too. They told a simple Nativity story with Mary, Joseph, angels, shepherds, Wise Men and, of course, baby Jesus. They light up the stage with their singing and smiles! A big “Thank you” to all the children, families and God’s Garden teachers who helped to make this happen! Also, thank you to the Praise Band for backing up our little performers.
After the performance, the Super Sprouts and Best Buds decorated some cookies and played some games. God’s Garden ended 2024 full of smiles, laughter and love. We look forward to seeing everyone again in 2025! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!

On Dec. 15, our Wesley Church children present the Christmas Story.  Here our three narrators tell the nativity story of Jesus’ birth.
Visited by three wisemen offering gifts to the newborn king.
No room at the inn.
